Nantucket Beaches

Nantucket is the ideal vacation spot for beach lovers because of its diverse coastline, offering beaches that cater to all preferences. 40th Pole Beach

Known as one of the drivable beaches on Nantucket, 40th Pole one of the island’s most popular beaches. Located on the north shore, it has calmer and warmer waters.

Brant Point Beach

This beach features the Brant Point Lighthouse, the island’s first lighthouse and the 100+ year old Nantucket Yacht Club. It also allows dogs.

Children's Beach

The closest beach to Town, Children's Beach features a playground, stage and the Gyp-Sea cafe.

Cisco Beach

A great Southshore spot for surfing, sunbathing or surfcasting. Cisco Beach allows dogs, is bike path accessible and has lifeguards.

Dionis Beach

Nestled away and known for its dunes. Dionis Beach is perfect for swimming thanks to its gentle surf. Life guards are on duty during peak season.

Eel Point Beach

A popular spot for fishing and shellfishing, there's also a large saltwater lagoon located on Eel Point nicknamed “the Bathtub” for its warm water in the summer. There are no restrooms or other amenities nearby so visitors should come prepared with snacks, water, sunscreen and bug spray.

Jetties Beach

Close to town with free parking, a playground and the Sandbar restaurant. Jetties Beach also has lifeguards during peak season.

Ladies Beach

Located south of Bartlett Farm and within the Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve. Ladies Beach is less crowded than some of the island's more popular beaches.

Miacomet Beach

One of the island’s more laidback beaches, Miacomet Beach is 2.5 miles from town and close to Bartlett’s Farm. It allows dogs and has lifeguards.

Sconset Beach

Known for its heavy surf and soft sand, Sconset Beach has lifeguards are on duty during peak season and is accessible by the WAVE shuttle or a 6-mile bike ride.
